Does celebrity influence the youth of today?

Well in today’s technological era, there is a numerous large number of youth who tend to follow the celebs blindly not even knowing what the celebs are doing is right or wrong.
Psychologically, the teens usually undergo identity crisis, where they feel the need to have an association to a particular group of individuals. And this is the reason, why they try imitating the works of their actors, thinking that it would provide them with enormous popularity in their circle. I found an incident, which would support this statement.
A group of youth was held by the police for robbery, despite their attempt of escaping on the bikes. They told the police, that they were inspired by Dhoom movie (Where after a robbery the thieves, escape on the bikes). Besides this, the biggest filmstar of Bollywood, Mr. Shahrukh Khan, has been caught smoking on several occasions in public places. Shahrukh Khan is looked upon as a role model of many upcoming actors of the country and doing such a thing in public, only motivates the public to follow the star.
I’m not trying to say all the filmstars are always bad, but the youth have to understand that at the end of the day, they too are individuals. And they too can make mistakes. Instead of following them blindly, one best thing would be is select only the good things of their role model and apply them to your life but at the same them be critical enough to judge bad points about the filmstar whom you consider your role model.
Basically everyone has a different identity, and pretending to be someone who your not is difficult. But being yourself is thousands times better. Because at the end of the day people love you for what you are and not for what you pretend to be.
Just be yourself and enjoy your life.
